Wings of Leadership Student Association (WOLSA)
Wings of Leadership Student Association (WOLSA) is a student organization affiliated with the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. It was created to promote leadership, discipline, service, civic commitment, and academic excellence, while supporting the academic and professional development of its members.
Mission
To support the academic, military, and leadership preparation of AFROTC cadets at UPR Río Piedras by strengthening their professional and teamwork skills through activities that promote discipline, community service, and Air Force spirit.
Vision
To be the leading student organization at UPRRP that reflects the values and standards of excellence of the United States Air Force, forming future officers who are disciplined, ethical, and committed to service.
What WOLSA does
- Promotes leadership, discipline, and professionalism among AFROTC cadets.
- Develops activities based on Air Force core values: Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do.
- Gives cadets experience in planning, organization, and project execution.
- Supports fundraising and activities tied to AFROTC traditions and official events, including Dining In/Out.
- Promotes teamwork, unity, and esprit de corps.
- Encourages service, community impact, and leadership development.
The WOLSA Store helps support detachment activities, leadership initiatives, and official fundraising efforts connected to AFROTC traditions and events. Purchases made through the store contribute directly to WOLSA’s mission and student-led activities.
WOLSA is the primary entity responsible for generating funds in support of detachment activities and fundraising operations.
